Dr. M Planted The Seed of 1MDB fiasco

The first thing Dr. M did after becoming the prime minister of Malaysia in 1981 was to do away with the open tender system for awarding government contracts, replacing it with negotiated tender system, totally disregarded the provisions of the General Orders on the awarding of government contracts. He argued that the open tender system was too time consuming. With the negotiated tender system, he had the final say who would get the contracts. Some building contracts were awarded to people who could not even differentiate a bolt from a nut. To ensure the success of the projects, the value of the contracts were inflated so that the projects could be sub-contracted or sold for a handsome profit. Overnight millionaires were created, cronyism was born and corruption became entrenched in Malaysia.
Who wants to work hard when easy money could be made by getting lucrative government contracts, And to get the contracts, money had to be paid to middle-men who could help to secure the contracts.
A new breed of businessmen whose businesses were to "buy" and sell contracts, was born. When questioned Dr M retorted "What's wrong with creating instant Malay millionaires?" How could it be wrong because it was these cronies who ensured he stayed in power for 22 years. He could have stayed longer ( after all he had just moved into his Putrajaya "palace"  ) if he did not lose the support of the Malays after the sacking of  Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. That was his Waterloo. Although Dr M was a brilliant strategist, he did not see it coming. In the past he had sacked the Head of Judiciary and clipped the powers of the Royalty without any repercussions.
Why is Dr M attacking Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak now over the Altantuya case? Why did he pressure Tun Abdullah Badawi to appoint Datuk Seri Najib as the Deputy Prime Minister although he believed Datuk Seri Najib was linked to the case ? ( Tun Abdullah took awhile to nominate Datuk Seri Najib as his deputy. Those who were present at the ceremony noticed Dr M was very tense prior to the official appointment of Datuk Seri Najib as the Deputy Prime Minister )
Is Dr M doing all he could to remove Datuk Seri Najib Razak as Prime Minister because he loves the country ? If he really love the country, he should have arrested the declining standard of education in Malaysia during his tenure as Prime Minister. If he really love the country, he should have tried to unite the various races after his retirement, instead of  continuing to issue  statements that pit the Malays against the non-Malays like " The Malays are losing power" , "A non-Malay will one day be the Prime Minister of Malaysia" ,etc.
Will Datuk Seri Najib buckle under the pressure ? Unlikely because Datuk Seri Najib is one of Dr. M's best students
