Sex videos of "politicians"

Why do some people wasted so much time, effort and money to produce and distribute videos of politicians or people who resemble certain politicians in sexual acts to discredit them or to tarnish their image? Didn't they know that a politician who was caught for khalwat ( close proximity ) with a celebrity in a hotel room in Port Dickson and committed adultery with someone's wife and eventually married her,  went on to become Prime Minister of Malaysia ? This is proof that sexual scandal is no more relevant in the political arena in Malaysia. The people of Malaysia are more concern about corruptions and abuse of funds and power.
