Make the 4 ministers involved in the Lynas poject stay next to the plant.

The fears of those living near the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant in Kuantan are understandable. After all why would an Australian company want to spend so much money to build a plant in Malaysia when there are ample land in Australia, spend money to ship the raw material to Malaysia thousands of kilometres away, process it and then ship it back to Australia ? Must be hazardous right?
No amount of verbal assurance from the 4 ministers involved in the Lynas project can convince the people that the Lynas plant is safe. To prove a point, maybe the government should build 4 bungalows, one  on  each corner outside the perimeter fencing of the plant  for the 4 ministers ( and their families ) to stay, namely the International Trade and Industry Minister, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, Natural Resources and Environment Minister and the Heath Minister. At the same time, the ministers can each keep an eye ( so we have a total of 4 eyes ) on the management of the plant to make sure that they comply with the conditions set by the government.

Unlucky 13 for BN ?

Dr M urged voters to reject politicians who did not keep their promises but he forgot or dare not include corrupt politicians and  ministers  who sleep on their job. Young ( first time voters ) are waiting to unleash their fury through the ballot box because they had been deprived  of a roof over their head. They had studied so hard and after graduating, worked hard and saved hard to buy their first home. But suddenly the price of the properties, especially in Penang and the Klang Valley, they had been eyeing shot through the roof. Former Finance Minister, Tun Daim Zainuddin in his interview with Sin Chew Daily had aptly said the property prices in Malaysia had  "gone crazy " yet our Housing Minister still said the " but properties in  Malaysia are still cheaper than other countries ". A double-storey terrace house in Kemuning Utama, Shah Alam  which was sold by the developer for RM 330k in 2008, shot up to RM 600k upon completion two years later. But the BN government did nothing to check the spiraling property price. The best way to check speculation was to slap hefty Property Gain Tax on properties sold within five years of purchases, but nothing was done.  It was only after the price of properties had escalated out of the reach of most people that the BN government  came up with PR1MA and even promising to give away houses for free in Penang. Isn't it a bit too late ?
